  i dont mean this harshly, i pinky promise, BUT: why does this film exist?

  its a TRUE STORY, (an astonishing amazing one at that), that has a well made DOCUMENTARY made about it from THE SAME DIRECTOR OF THIS FILM. did we really feel such an extreme need to dramatize it?

  i would die for a creeper in a heartbeat.

  surprisingly the best performance to me in this entire film is mark ruffalo. hes never afraid to go all out with a performance, and while it doesnt mean he hits the mark 100% of the time, i feel like he just NAILED this insanely grotesque and downright annoying megalomaniac colonizer persona. 

  robert pattison still is the thread tying this film together, and i love his arc throughout the runtime. bong joon ho just nails any story he tries to tell.

  this is the first movie in a while that:

  a) i have seen in theaters and been throughly disappointed by and

  b) cant believe it is rated so highly on here

  the animation is decent but it just ends up feeling stale. the character design is unique and works for the mutants but the humans feel jarring at times. the voice acting from the kids is serviceable and paul rudd is the highlight outside of that, but some performances feel…
