    But it's just from a corner of the music world that I wasn't engaging with at all when it came out. I would have been listening to Traced in Air by Cynic over and over. Stuff like that.

    It's so funny!

    Molly Shannon is just terrif'! And I feel like Bruce McCulloch is probably exactly the right energy to steer this ship.

    Is it a little mean sometimes? Yeah, in the way that a lot of comedy movies are, but the mean moments are basically reserved for characters that you clearly aren't supposed to like.

    Is it a little unsatisfying? Yeah, in the way that a lot of comedy movies are, but it's actually kind of sweet and more bold than I was expecting. Because of how a lot of comedy movies are.

    But this one is good! Molly Shannon is good!

    I'm truthfully basing this generalization on very little, but I feel like there is an entire generation of indie filmmakers who are making movies that have maybe 15 minutes of story and like 75 minutes of footage that does almost nothing to advance or develop anything, leaving me gobsmacked at how willing they are to waste my time.

    Like, there were times in this I couldn't tell whether something was in slow motion or just felt like it.
