A Simple Plan 1998
This floored me. Other than a few minor hitches like a woefully underdeveloped Lady Macbeth-esque wife character, A Simple Plan is a near perfect film. While this movie based on both setting and premise is often compared to the Cohen's Fargo, I actually think it's much more similar in tone and underlying theme to No Country For Old Men, and I mean that only as a compliment to both films.
