“Don’t get me wrong, I love your paintings. I’m just not sure you should count on them for a living”
Agree with many of the takes that this should be more about Frida herself, because that was the best aspect of the film: focusing on her and her paintings and her artistic independency. Don’t get me wrong, Alfred Molina plays a great Diego Rivera and I know they were so intertwined and you can’t tell the story of Frida without him, but meh. LOVED the stylized aspects of it, wish there was even more of it! And the score is excellent.
