  A grim miserable film. I still want to feel bad for Ernest, but he’s an interesting study on how convincing yourself that you are in the right can do more damage than just admitting to yourself what you did was wrong.

  Taken on its own it’s absolutely wonderful. Hard to ignore the missing talent in Paul King and Sally Hawkins, their replacements are excellent, but just quite as exceptional and I think a little less suited for the tone of a Paddington movie specifically. 

  Also why is Hayley Atwell American in this movie? You already have non-Brits in the movie so if you have to have an American character why not get an American actor? Because it’s kinda a crime to have Hayley Atwell in your movie and not let us hear her glorious native accent.

Following
