  John Wick: Chapter 4 2023

  My favourite of the Wick films by quite a distance. So many awesome additions to the cast, and I loved the Osaka and Berlin segments. There is more time to breathe between the action, which makes it feel less tedious and makes the movie flow much better than chapter 3.
  I could have really done without the goon killing sequence in Paris though. It just made the movie 20 minutes longer than it needed to be.

  John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum 2019

  Starts pretty well but I was a bit bored by the end. Learning more about the inner workings of the assassin underworld keeps me interested and then my eyes glaze over when we have to watch the exact same nicely choreographed gun kata fight for the fifth time.
  I'm a big action movie guy, but something about this series just doesn't do it for me.

  Not one mention of the demon lord 0/10.

  Really though I've been a little obsessed with all things Nana recently so I thought I should watch these movies to round out the Nana experience. I don't expect anything from manga adaptions so maybe I just had low expectations going in but I thought it was flawed but fairly good.

  Biggest gripe is the fundamental problem with adapting so much material into a 2 hour movie. The story moves a mile a minute due to time restrictions which sadly means that any characters who weren't named Nana are completely short changed.
