“Five Feet Apart" is a film that tries to balance the heartache of a terminal illness with the warmth of young love, but it ultimately leans too heavily on melodrama. Mrinal Sen’s Interview is a rebellious, and inventive piece of Indian cinema that blends fiction and reality with an almost documentary-like rawness. A key work in Sen’s “Calcutta Trilogy,” the film captures the anxieties of a post-independence generation caught between tradition and modernity, privilege and struggle.

Court is a painfully funny movie. The slow pace of the film and the extended shots soak you in the world of the characters. It shows how our judicial system needs structural improvements if justice needs to be served.
There are no black and white characters in the movie. The director provides background of both the lawyers and the judge and effectively showcases how their personal is integrated with their professional.
It is a slow-burn! You will feel the pain and agony of the accused, the sewer worker's wife, and the lawyers.

The next morning is the father’s birthday, and after a mini celebration with his family, he puts on his Nazi uniform and the camera shifts to show that this idyllic home is attached to…
