  Has an amazing nifty plot with bits of romantic spark, would be perfect if Gary Cooper showed any type of charisma but I’ll chalk it up to him trying to encapsulate a soul-less american womanizer ig. On the other hand there’s Chevalier who charmingly inspires playing the role of a worrying, job-serious father and Audrey who is great as Ariane, like really really great. There’s just something very peculiarly appealing when watching her play any character who’s just straight up…

  A gradual eerie build up that kicks into 10th gear once you get baited in. It’s not exactly revolutionary to the horror genre but it does manage to spit out all of the great overwhelming elements that’s necessary to put you into shock. The common tropes and awkward quips that it throws would sometimes take you out of it but I still enjoyed for its mysteriously sharp left-turn execution.

  Feels like 5x worth the price of admission to be able to witness this miracle on the big screen. James Cameron is the only filmmaker I can possibly think of to be capable of fully submerging (literally) an audience into this foreign yet familiar world that we can only dream of and connect ourselves to. Truly breathtaking stuff.
