Colman Domingo and Clarence "Divine Eye" Maclin are great, but what is the issue of having both acting together in this film? It makes clear which one has been in prison, specially in some important scenes and dialogues.
It makes me wish that Maclin would get more recognition, like Domingo did.
Apart from that, I might have cried more than once, and I wanted to hug the entire cast who played themselves in this.

The Zone of Interest 2023
I was kinda sceptical, I always have in my head that Truffaut idea we all know: “every film about war ends up being pro-war”. But The Zone of Interest was an unusual and great surprise.
There is so much care and craft put into representing those who suffered, that it makes me sad to see people placing this film into the same box as Schindler's List or The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

This would have been great if the director wasn't so interfering and constantly trying to show herself on camera. It feels like she avoided the conflict and the most interesting part: her mother had a huge role in gay porn commercialization, but not only she didn't care about the gay community (it's clear she only saw it as a business), she turned out to be homophobic.
US gay porn industry and the son deserve more dedicated and compelling documentaries.
