  i was unsure if the anti-colonial conflict, though gripping, would be nuanced enough to sustain the story…so i was delighted that this turned into a time travel meditation on the immutable nature of fate and the change that can still be wrought within its confines. the animation is beautiful - spare yet rich, formal yet inventive, and had a distinct arid soviet bent that made a lot of sense, considering it was done by a DPRK-based studio. enjoyed the asimov rewrite but i’d like to see the french version as well.

  the word that comes to mind is haphazard. the mickeys should have fucked. pattinson reheating joe pera’s nachos (not in a bad way) and i really just don’t think ruffalo is a good actor

  edit: forgot to mention my favorite bit was nasha holding mickey in the isolation tank as he threw up blood…romance ain’t dead
