That opening action sequence with NSYNC blasting over the top of it is never going to get old for me. Overall the action is choreographed perfectly. The humour is great and most of the jokes land but with anything let’s see how it ages. On rewatch in a short amount of time this is still an excellent watch, did notice a couple issues i didn’t notice on first watch but nothing to ruin my entertainment.
It’s not great and i will no doubt completely forget it instantly but the negativity towards its budget just feels weird.
Take nothing away from Eddie Redmayne’s fantastic performance but there isn’t really anything special about this. The story feels like a mess with no clear guide on the time jumps and has more of a TV movie feel than Oscar best picture. Safe to say Redmayne carries this hard.
Yes it’s plot is incredibly basic but this was hilarious. Can’t believe they just gloss over the accident that put her in a coma instead of looking into who nearly killed her.
This is genuinely everything i wanted and expected from this. Theres just the right amount of nostalgia and references but not too much to take away from the the plot. Not all the villains get the same amount of on screen time but i felt that they focused on the right ones.
