  All around I enjoyed. Yes okay maybe I thought it slightly dragged a little after the introduction, however, the story is original enough that it made me want to keep watching - and it got way way better once the second act picked up.

  I love the Creepers, I want one of the babies as a pet. I would let that little guy sleep at the end of my bed of a nighttime. I’d even buy a translator so we could…

  (500) Days of Summer 2009

  I’m not sure how to feel about this film. Like, both main characters are kind of insufferable….but also, that’s kind of the point?? Summer is a ‘manic pixie dream girl’ and Tom is a classic example of the toxic ‘nice guy’. 

  Side notes because I think they have to be mentioned:
  •The “expectation vs reality scene” is shot exceptionally well and is a very good bit of camera work.  
  •The flipping back and forth between all 500 days I personally didn’t mind, but I understand why some can find it quite jarring.
  • Although annoying characters, the performances by the actors are very good.
