    a clumsy script brimming with great ideas. never quite clears the hurdle every low-budget sci-fi movie contends with (looking cheap as hell), but does a good enough job distracting you with really dynamic, colorful lighting and a clear aesthetic vision. needed significantly less amnesiac wandering and more crazy shit like getting your ass beat by iko uwais in first person

    this is some of the meanest tv i’ve ever seen, up there with the latter half of breaking bad and every other moment in mr. robot. the three leads disappear so fully into their roles it’s genuinely painful to watch (i work with someone EXACTLY like emma stone here it’s nauseating). i don’t know that this needed to be as long as it is, but its pace honestly does contribute to this feeling like some sort of Evil Hangout Show
