appreciate the intent and why the film is the way it is, but it just didn't do it for me. we're in the same arena as the archers' a matter of life and death - down to the b/w angelvision - but the sustained detachment adopted here prevented me from really connecting with the film.
because the film endlessly and monotonously expounds "gee humans are so flawed and isolated but at least the human experience is so rich!", it's difficult…
