Past Lives 2023
I’ve been on a massive film burnout this month and haven’t had the motivation to watch much at all. However I’ve been excited for this, for such a long time and it truly didn’t disappoint. “Right Person, Wrong Time” is truly one of my favourite tropes of all time and it’s pretty much the beating heart of this film. Celine Song’s direction in this is a master stroke and the movie is so beautiful throughout, the cinematography is breathtaking. Additionally Greta Lee and John Magaro are amazing in this with the former one of my picks for an Oscar Seat.

Oppenheimer 2023
Christopher Nolan Ranked | 2023 Ranked
Easily the most anticipated movie of the year and Oppenheimer not only shatters but exceeds my expectations massively. Christopher Nolan once again produces a directorial masterpiece. With a three hour run time you expect bits of the film to drag but each hour has something unique that leaves you in awe. Accompanying the incredible screenplay this film is PACKED with incredible actors, it’s hard to note each one because everyone performs here (even Rodrick) but notably…

2023 - Ranked | Nolan - Ranked
While it can never top my first experience of watching this absolute masterpiece; having the chance to view this in regular 70MM film absolutely blew me away. It immersed me massively within the film and even after knowing everything that happens my eyes were glued to the screen; the look and feel of this film is much grander than the version I saw it in, it was truly beautiful.

Dune: Part Two 2024
Really hard to pick where about to begin with this review. Dune 2 is not only Sci-Fi greatness it’s cinema greatness. The visuals speak for themselves each scene fills up the screen with some beautiful imagery whether it’s in the Dunes or on other worlds. But for all it’s beautiful imagery and score; the performances make this that bit more perfect.
Austin Butler has been lauded for his performance in this a lot and it is so deserved. He is unbelievable…
