Prayer of the Rollerboys 1990
Talk about being ripe for rediscovery: western chauvinist drug slinging youth gang making use of irl white power slogans and symbology while being led by proto-Jake Paul on rollerblades, ft Patricia Arquette’s sloppy kisses. I had tried to watch this film while a little bit stoned a few years ago, and this was a very unpleasant and overwhelming experience simply on a sensory level. Even sober and watching it in the late afternoon, it is so stressful and visually frenetic/“loud” that it approached the line of being physically difficult to keep watching for the degree to which it was wearing me out, and I was quite relieved when the camera finally calms down considerably…
