Interesting commentary on motherhood, that I honestly wouldn’t think about normally cause I’m simple. The movie definitely opened my eyes a bit. But unfortunately from an entertainment standpoint, while there were some funny moments, I thought the director played it too safe with the turning into a dog theme. Like this should have leaned fully in and gone completely off the rails or not explored that theme at all and left this as a look at a regular family’s life
Every legal thriller should be required to have a J.K. Simmons appearance and should weave in the statement/intro “In the criminal justice system…”
I enjoyed this, but was a little disappointed. Still good, but I guess when I first saw the trailer I was extremely intrigued by the concept. I thought overall the investigation into this unique moral situation was great, but the writing was a bit weak at times and it just felt like each moment could’ve hit you a bit harder.
Watching a Jessica Alba movie in 2024 was my own mistake, and I deserved every moment of agony I suffered watching this film
