    Busting

    "I'm not saying that you're a bad person, but you're not exactly a saint."

    I love Elliot Gould. His typical “disillusioned slacker with a quip” characters are always fun to watch. Unfortunately, this movie leans on that just a little too hard in an attempt to color in a script that doesn’t know what to do with itself for the entire back half. That doesn’t mean the film is without its charms. The entire shoot out sequence that makes its way into a super market… great stuff. The camera work in this scene deserves particular praise.

    Mick Jagger and Anita Pallenberg are a lot of fun to watch on screen. The final scene is wonderfully trippy. In the end, I enjoyed thinking about this film much more than I enjoyed watching it.
