The acting could be better, but honestly, this wasn't a bad movie. I've seen much, much worse! It had a convoluted plot, yet it kind of worked in holding my attention.

Insane and thoroughly unpleasant, but by design. I always appreciate a misanthropic, cynical, dark comedy; but this one might have been a bit too much even for me. Between this and the 'Trainspotting' films (also based on Irvine Walsh books), I have to wonder if Scotland is really this debauched of a place.
