Are five and a half stars possible? Total eye and ear candy to anyone who has heard a Dylan song, a Baez song, or anything by Guthrie or Seeger. The acting is first rate. I noticed some problems with a blurry screen in the theater. ("I'm not crying, you're crying.")

Excellently done. Changed my view of Martha Stewart. Brilliant choice to only see Martha throughout and have all the other interviews appear as voices only.

Here on Letterboxd, people seem to hate this series and hate Jared Leto even more. I disagree. This is a nuanced look at greed and the combustible combination of spirituality and capitalism. Works for me.

The first half is brilliant. The second half drags. The end is depressing. It's like seeing two different films. One is lively, visually inventive, illuminating. The other digs a hole for itself and lands with a thud. Melodrama meh. Still, it's a landmark film in so many ways with its depiction of sexuality, gender, and life-as-art.
