  Of course everyone who are very into Kurosawa will tell you HIS WORST FILM! HE DON'T MAKE THIS ONE! yada yada

  Anthology film have this ethereal quality and mysterious about their world building. This one deliver it well done and it's very accessible to newcomers

  I watch this on a low budget cable station on Mexico in a lot of situations during the 90s (94 - 97): in houses of lost long families, 2 star motels, waiting in line in the pharmacy...

  When I fucking discovery by accident 6 years ago...I cry of thinking it never happen!!!

  and it's on quality with Miyazaki works. The story is far from flat and the characters are in the gray area.

  Visually it's something else. I envy the asthethic a lot
