Part of an Academy Award nominated short documentary screening:

    A very important film.

I think it's so essential to have had a survivor involved in its creation.

I think the stylistic choice to not show the killer until the power dynamic was just right was a brilliant choice.

Part of an Academy Award nominated short documentary screening:

Truly a feel-good doc capturing maybe the most down-to-earth historic human.

The film is witty, cute, sentimental, and it doesn't have to flaunt anything in your face to show how truly powerful it's protagonist is.
A film created in the style of the person it's made about.

The conflict didn't really feel very deep, but that's totally ok, and maybe that's the point.

This short doc did a great job at showing the contrast of the spotlight of success vs…

At the beginning of the film they mention that there are two scenes that are dramatic recreations, about half way through the doc I felt like I had witnessed like 15 recreations, but they weren’t, they were real, the footage they capture is just that absurdly real.
They capture the essence of every character, like every great doc they make you wonder how they got the footage they shot, and still manages to leave the country alive.
    People, especially the…
