10:00am on NYE 2024 at Village East Angelika in 70mm… what a way to end 2024 with one of the top 3 films of the year.

When I first heard about The Brutalist and the fact that it would have an intermission, I was so ecstatic. I wish more films would have that experience, it feels like that break in the middle of the film allows the audience to feel like a community on a journey together enjoying cinema. It…

This film delivered on all cylinders. This was my first Eggers film that I watched(I know, sue me), and I really love how he directs his films. The cinematography, makeup, prosthetics used for Count Orlok was incredible. Also, the 2,000 rats that they trained, like what? I’ve never heard of that in my life.

Bill Skaarsgard delivers an incredible and transformative performance as expected from latest roles, and deserves an applause. Lily Rose-Depp put her name on the map with…

Never saw this before December 2024, and gotta say I’ve been missing out on a Muppets Masterpiece. Love the narration with Gonzo and Rizzo. The songs in this slap hard, seriously. Like I can’t wait to rewatch this for Christmas’s to come and sing along. Also, Michael Caine go off king with that Oscar worthy performance amongst the Muppets. They really created one of the best Christmas Carol adaptions with this masterpiece.

‘Tis The Season” for hallmark adjacent Christmas movies. Well, overall the film is a weird story if you think about it from a macro level as a widow falls in love with a snowman who comes to life…

But the dialogue and the humor and the fact that everyone realizes they’re in a hallmark movie sort of adds to the pizazz. The references to Mean Girls was on par. Craig Robinson and Joe Lo Truglio are a dynamic duo as the officers. Worth a watch on a Christmas evening when you got nothing else to watch and sick off the classics. Merry Christmas
