Combat Shock 1986
This movie is badass. The soundtrack is great, and I love the gritty, grimy, nasty aesthetic throughout. The performances are convincing, even though everything is obviously exaggerated. I refuse to believe there’s no official connection between this movie and Suicide’s track “Frankie Teardrop”—the parallels are too strong!
That said, Combat Shock is a bit more serious in tone than some other Troma films, but it’s definitely one of the studio’s best. I loved this from the first minute to the last. Just an absolute banger.
