The Falcon and the Winter Soldier - "We built this country. Bled for it. I'm not gonna let anybody tell me I can't fight for it."

Alright, and now we are at our final stop on the Captain America tour before Brave New World, and boy was it a rough one to get through. I did like this series when I first watched, liking it arguably the most out of the massive bunch we got from 2021's onslaught of Marvel…

Captain America: The First Avenger - “What makes you so special?”, “Nothing. I’m just a kid from Brooklyn.”

With the upcoming release in just over a week for Brave New World, I guess I figured it was time to rewatch the Cap trilogy as well as Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Honestly kind of dreading that last one, but whatever. It’s only a TV show, it can’t hurt me. Anyways, something I didn’t do as often back when I first reviewed…

    Happy Gilmore 2

Why does this look like Henry Braham shot this? It has that same greyish-greenish-blueish tint that his last couple films had. It looks like The Flash and Superman. Am I weird for that? Am I the only one that sees that? It just looks so fake and bland. It has this haloish glow to it that weird. I’ll most definitely watch this, but it’s not with a lot of excitement considering… yknow… Netflix? Adam Sandler comedy? Legacy sequel? I’m sure I’ll watch this with my dad.

Oh yeah, bring on whatever Celine Song has in store. Past Lives was fucking excellent, so I’m down for whatever she’s got. I doubt it’ll be as good as that film, as that’s usually about how it goes, but it does look good. A pretty typical romance film with plenty of drama. There’s no twist, just a good old fashioned love triangle. Maybe this role was the wake up call for Chris Evans.

Mickey 17 - Solid, But Nowhere Near Bong’s Best.

I was throughly excited for Mickey 17, and in many ways, my excitement was met, but after now versing myself in some of Director Bong’s work, I am a little disappointed. Not because it’s bad. It’s not. But this is (out of the films I’ve seen), his most muddled script. Too many ideas, and not enough focus on the individuality of Mickey as a person. I had no issues with the…

Nosferatu - First Thoughts (Dated December 27th, 2024).

I have weirdly mixed feelings on Nosferatu. I don’t know if my issues stem from over anticipation, which would be entirely my fault, or if it’s anything to do with the quality of the film itself. My anticipation came from my love of Robert Eggers’ previous work. I adore The Lighthouse and The Northman. I love his focus on period accurate details, and generally tight and structured filmmaking. His camera work is…
