The Lost World main theme is better than the Jurassic Park main theme.

First time watch in 2024. Kind of crazy that I've never seen this film before. Fun story. Interesting characters. I can see why this was so influential for many of my friends growing up. Wish I had watched this back when I was in high school.

    What I loved
The journey. The music. Fun characters for Cudrup, Hoffman, Hudson, and Mcdormand.

    Stand Out Sequence
I finally understand where Marc Maron's "Lock the Gates" comes from!!! WTF!

    Favorite Shot

Way to let a new director come in and do their thing. Bonkers final act that must be seen in theaters. Saw this twice during opening weekend and the crowd reactions did not disappoint.

    What I loved
The details and love for the world. The opening silent fly in and then the sounds when we enter that ship. David Jonsson's double act is 🔥. Zero gravity acid is insane. And the third act is 🤯.

    Stand Out Sequence
    So many…

Shout-out to Costner for taking the swing and just doing what he loves.

Also this film is impossible to rate. I feel like I'll change the rating. Especially after seeing the next few chapters.

    What I loved
Costner. The Wyoming landscape was stunning. The sizzle reel at the end... (Wish part 1 had more of that music and feel)

    Favorite scene or sequence
Settlement raid /boy riding with two horses. Everything around that Wyoming town in the woods.

    Adventure movies are back.

Completely mesmerized by the world, the characters and the stunning visuals scene after scene.

So refreshing to sit there and go on this journey. Honestly I could have sat in the theater all day watching the characters in this world.
