Finding out that Yorgos Lanthimos calls this a comedy is....enlightening. It has the aesthetic of Elevated Horror that's About Something but there is no morality tale or theme that really makes sense here, it is just a myth about a man who arbitrarily hurt the wrong person. One of my all-time favorite horror movies, not sure if I would watch it again
