Imagine a slasher movie from the perspective of the killer. No, not a good slasher movie. They took the worst elements of the worst slasher series (Friday the 13th), spun 'em around, and in a shocking twist, it's boring as shit.
However, god bless Shudder for getting an original movie in theaters.

The world has nary seen a bigger sequel-improves-on-original situation since Clueless (1995) reinvented and build upon the themes and mystery in it's preceding film, Clue (1985).
Can't wait to see the sequel wherein Morris travels a post-apocalyptic landscape battling the Smile demon with his new chainsaw arm.

I was the youngest person in the theater by a good thirty years. An old man sat behind me and every time Aubrey Plaza's character, Auntie Wow Platinum, appeared on screen he would mutter things to himself like "Mhm yes please" and "I'll have some of that".
I think experiencing this movie with a loudly sexually suggestive old man in my ear is probably the closest thing to watching it with Francis Ford Coppola himself. Maybe it was him.
