Nosferatu 2024
Not an actively bad movie, but not a great one either. The writing wasn't sincere enough to touch my emotions, but it wasn't silly enough to be fun and campy either. The writing, world, and characters felt far too clean, simple, and polished, as if the writers were afraid to fully embrace the freaky messiness that could easily be innate to a story like this. We do love a girlboss though.

The ending gave me a full-scale panic attack. This has never happened before. I am not generally sensitive to themes of suicide, abuse, or any of the themes that people find especially upsetting. But something about this ending was so viscerally horrifying to me that I had a panic attack and cried for a very long time. Whether you take that as a positive recommendation or a cue to avoid this movie is entirely up to you.
