"You're free of me now, and I of you."

Quite possibly Netflix's most exquisite production to date, and now one of my all time favourite shows, Ripley is a phenomenal series that immerses you in even minor details, thanks to its nuanced style of storytelling, remarkable acting, and truly phenomenal visuals.

The story of Thomas Ripley's exploits and schemes has been told many times through various media, all based on or inspired by the original book. In this particular adaptation,…

"I think I need to show my face."

The gift that keeps on giving.

Eyes Wide Shut is very, very close to becoming my favourite movie of all time. It's a perfectly constructed matrix of symbolism, ambiguity, and downright genius. It's malleable enough to be viewed from multiple viewpoints and to extract multiple different meanings from it, and yet rigorous enough to somehow stand perfectly in its place as an undeniable fit for any approach you take in order to…

Gray Alys is way too interesting of a character to be trapped in this odd, music-video generated mess of a film.

Only saw it because of a free ticket, but I'm sure everyone would have gone crazy for this in the late 90s or early 2000s.

Does exactly what it sets out to do in quite a grotesque way. I respect the commitment.

Solid acting and a solid soundtrack, particularly in the shower section in the end. A bizzarely beautiful moment amidst a horrifying tale of human impulse and bloodthirst.

    Y Tu Mamá También

A 4.2 average for what is essentially paedophilic porn is absolutely horrifying.

This film's only redeeming quality is the acting, but even that fails to make a single character likeable in any regard. All the characters are just pieces of shit who leech off of each other to simply make themselves worse.

Kinda just shows to me that there is a strange selective bias that differentiates from exploitation movies and movies that literally share some of their awful qualities, but…

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy

    ★★★

This was so cool, I can't even lie. Lego Star Wars has always had these forgettable but fun shorts, but Rebuild the Galaxy warrants quite a bit of merit.

We've always wanted a "What If...?" for Star Wars, and while this doesn't quite scratch that itch, it at least gave us something truly unique. The creativity in this short limited series is such a pleasant surprise, given the slop of recent releases.

The characters in this series are genuinely so…
