  A sweet movie that wears its heart on its sleeve - it never feels manipulative or sappy, and the mother-daughter story at its core is lovable, even when the main character isn’t. The highs are high (Niousha Noor as Mom, Shireen, is fantastic - I could’ve watched an entire movie about her; visually and musically, it’s gorgeous) but there are beats where I wanted it to slow down and give the emotional moments more room to breathe.

  “Mad Max: Fury Road” meets “Unforgiven” and “Kill Bill,” on an LSD trip. A neon-drenched, totally wild odyssey that you just have to sit back and experience. I may not know exactly what I just saw, but I know it was a hell of a ride. Definitely want to see it again.

  Not to mention: NICOLAS. CAGE.
