  I enjoyed this more than I expected. Having never seen the play or listened to the music I came in fairly blind. I was impressed by the story, very fun and clever. The music is obviously top notch. The cinematography, costumes, and sets were beautiful. Acting was on point. Overall really enjoyable. My biggest gripe is that they split the film into two parts. But once I see the content of the second one that may change.

  I don’t think this move has aged super well. It has some feel good elements and some amount of empowerment, I love the parenting style of parents that is portrayed. But mostly it’s a story about dumb teenagers being dumb and adults also being dumb.

  I went into this moving thinking it was going to be just another dumb action movie. I was prepared to be entertained by explosions and fast cars. I got so much more than I was expecting. Aside from being packed to the brim with truly fun and amazing action scenes. This movie tells a heartfelt and touching love story. It’s a romantic comedy and an action movie packed into one. And It’s funny! It is so over the top and predictable, but it does it in a way that is satirical and very on point. 
  Overall this one blew me away.
