The Guyver 1991
That half-of-a-lab set got a whole lotta use.
A lot of very lovely looking practical effects in those transformation sequences.
The tone is really strange, because it’s kind of gorey and sexual but also silly and childish. I imagine this movie changed a lot in the editing. The Brainiacs.com 2000
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This movie is the best.
The kid sells his fraudulent company to the school bullies (who plan to become corporate sharks when they grow up) just in time for them to get investigated for his screw-ups.
He is the true corporate shark. And what does he do with his ill-won freedom? He creates the most heinously terrifying toy mankind could possibly conceive of: you’ll have to watch to find out what it is.
Don’t forget to complete the family discussion guide that should come with every dvd of this glorious film!
