Alice 2022
Based on the true story of a black American woman in the 60s who didn’t obtain modern day slavery freedom until 1963. It’s insane that this story isn’t talked about or taught prominently. Thank goodness for cinema. Keke Palmer delivers a great performance as always and While the film is simply inspired by Mae Louise Miller’s journey it still holds very significant educational value.

It was a very captivating film from start to finish. It turned from a serious British film to a drama filled “single white female”/“fatal attraction” situation and I loved every surprising minute of it.

Sinister Surgeon 2024
Loving this traditional VOD film style from Marvista Entertainment. Usually their films wind up on Lifetime but with the new found Tubi takeover, most of the over dramatic stories are being given a bit more adult themes and gore freedom because it’s not network tv. Great plot and casting. Love seeing the lead surgeon played by Anthony Montgomery (Leprechaun 5 and I’m Through With White Girls). This film tangled with a potential Dr. Death theory or a crazed ex doctor getting revenge on the practice that did him wrong? Keeps you guessing who is the one committing these actual horror movie level gore murder scenes.
