  Incredible costume design and production design. Not as deep or interesting as it thinks it is. Negative points for old timey surgery and animals sewed into other animals -- two of my least favorite things in movies.

  I had to watch this because a student is writing their thesis on it, so I white knuckled through even though I hate horror films and gore and skin flying. Even with this in mind, I can usually give credit to a horror film's quality even if I personally hate it. This is not one -- this movie was bad.
