Wow
This rivals interstellar. Soundtrack was cliche but still hit so hard. A crazy plot twist at the end that hurts so so good. I loved the idea of trying to communicate with something we’ve never seen. So much like interstellar in the fact that that it’s so hard to understand but it makes sense. Both tell a story of language and love across time
Introspective for sure but left me guessing what the message was. Was this about religion? Was it about animals/nature? Was it about Pi? Was it about loss/grief without closure? Was it all a lie that he told so he could live on without the knowledge that he witnessed death and evil?
In the end he says “it happened, why does it have to mean anything?” Like bruh
Never the less there was a message in there that hit hard even if you don’t understand it. Bonus for the soundtrack & cinematography too
