  Definitely more digestible for the dedicated Beatles fan over a casual viewer, but if you can find entertainment in watching a talented group of music pioneers do their work then you are in for a real treat. Peter Jackson and the original film crew did a tremendous job showcasing the beginning of the end for this group, as well as one of the most iconic performances in music history!

  This movie is good for about the first hour and a half. It portrays the first six issues pretty much beat for beat, even if shallowly. The slow build-up is just as chaotic and chilling as the novel, and performances by most of the cast are strong. The last hour though just completely rushes through the source material and is a hallow representation of everything groundbreaking that it conceived. On top of Zak Snyder’s overrated and washed-out cinematography (the crystal castle on Mars is awful), even a middling review is a little generous.
