  Not perfect, but DAMN is it fun. Could’ve trimmed the fat a little bit but this movie is a blast. Consistently funny, both with outright jokes and subtle moments (“secret” iykyk), strangely moving, and lead by maybe the most versatile actor in Hollywood right now, Mickey 17 is a joy.

  This might be my longest and most serious review yet, as this is a difficult one to talk about.

  On one hand, September 5 contains so many of the things I love to see in movies.   Unfortunately… this movie is really great. It’s not perfect (it looks kinda bad, I don’t love all the musical arrangements or choreography, one too many riffs for my liking (riffs need a reason!! Don’t riff in I’m not that girl!!), some of the casting/performances don’t entirely land) but it’s a fantastic adaptation.
