  An underrated gem from the late, great Alan Parker.

  You can complain that there isn't much of a narrative, or that plot lines aren't resolved etc. and those are valid points - but the vignette approach to these characters and stories is why it resonates with me so much.

  All these characters have a drive for success and fame and much like real life, some will achieve it, others won't and then another year of new students will come in…
