Good, but not groundbreaking. The return to practical effects was a welcome sight, though I think at this point that the Weyland-Yutani corporation meddling via androids is a bit tired. Would love to see a fresh take on the xenomorph issues coming from a non-corporate meddling just to shake things up.

Yeah, I could probably sum this whole movie up in one word:
Eh.
It seems like the movie can’t decide what it wants to be about. That’s my biggest issue with the film as a whole. The first “act” seems to be about a PTSD stricken Vietnam vet trying to cope with his time in the war. Alright, that’s a cool story I’m invested in. Then, we’re in act two, where the Vietnam vet starts seeing demons as reality shifts…Translated from by
