Lesson of the film: Men ruin everything.
This was so frustrating. Clara's amazing performance aside— This should've ended with Clara, Wayne, and her parrot all living happily and following their passions in flapper-feminist bliss BUT NOOOOO they just HAD to drag her back to domesticity hell with the WORST MAN IN THE WHOLE FILM
I nearly barfed at the end scene when they kissed
