Unsubtle, disgusting, and depressing. It was a good movie. Everything it did was in service of telling the story it wanted to tell, and it was the best way they could’ve told that story in the kind of mode they wanted to tell it in.

Demi Moore (the main character, actress and fitness guru), Margaret Qualley (her “new self”), and Dennis Quaid (their agent who’s an asshole) all play their parts very well, and a lot of the minor characters…

    Megalopolis

Weird, deliberately artificial, yet definitely “says a lot about society”, interesting cast, director may or not have done some bad shit, the “deliberately work with cancelled actors” shit’s weird either way, the movie itself is undeniably interesting to watch. I have no clue what star rating to give this. It’s flopping but I was in a mostly packed house but with limited seating. I had to be sat next to someone else. But there were also seats available, but they told me to go there. Oh well.

Surprised with all the graphic depictions of murder, cannibalism, illegal sex acts, and hard drug use. I can't deny that the acting and cinematography was well-done, but what it was in service of, I'm not so sure about.

Did not care for The Godfather. People tell me this is a perfect movie, and that it has a great cast. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall...they are fine actors, but I still did not like the movie. I just couldn't get into it that much. Guess it just didn't gel with me. It insists upon itself. It takes forever getting in, you spend like six and a half hours...I've honestly never gotten through this movie all the way.…
