glad i finally got to see this on the big screen even if the fire alarm went off 15 minutes into the movie 💀
it might’ve been because of leaving the cinema so early into the screening but i couldn’t give myself over to this as much as i would’ve liked. the visuals are excellent and loved the time capsule of 60s radicalised cuba, but i couldn’t engage with the stories. my particular fave was henrique’s, but there were plenty of sequences that dazzled me like betty’s dance and the funeral march. defs keen to rewatch this down the line under better circumstancesTranslated from by -

turns out i’m not really a godfather girlie but still barreling thru with watching the trilogy. this one didn’t have the same impact of when i first watched it last year but i will maintain the rating as my way of saying i still prefer it to the original
