Yeeeaaah this just felt kinda exploitive to me.
We’re exposed to a seemingly endless parade of horrible characters, each more despicable than the last (but it’s ok, because they’re all played by phenomenal actors, each giving an absolute masterclass in quirkiness).
It felt like our lead was trapped in a modernized, hyper-sexualized retelling of Pinocchio. Each new adventure being another cruel joke at her expense, resilient as she might be.

A super fun journey through a series of vignettes that become increasingly intertwined. Every (seemingly) throwaway line of dialogue gets paid off.
Manny kills it as Manny. Definitely the part he was born to play.
Also, it’s gotta be one of the best films about filmmaking I’ve ever seen.
