My expectations weren’t very high for this movie. I wasn’t doubting Joon-ho’s ability just was skeptical as to how far this idea could be taken. I was wrong. Once two mickeys got on my screen and started acting like twins and Mark Ruffalo started doing his best trump impression I was locked in. Toni Collette was great too as his partner in crime. Very fun movie.

Unsettling is a great way to describe this movie. How Nosferatu was portrayed gave me vibes of The Babadook with the shadows and the moonlight man from Gerald’s Game which is probably why it got to me. Between the bird scene and the surround sound gulping noises, I was very disturbed. Probably the most I’ve been from a movie in a long time. Nosferatu really died because he was horny tho. Poor Thomas.
