I loved the use of jump-cutting of scenes all over the place from beginning to end. I was surprised to see the stacked and subtle cast surrounding Jim Carey and Kate Winslet. No white hair, Mark Ruffalo? This movie was released in theaters today, 21 years ago. Peak dialogue and use of editing. Fire lighting, and I cannot begin to imagine the fun of the various one-off shots that were taken they got to do! I was genuinely surprised by…

These extensive reshoots did not save this film. What’s sad amongst the chaotic threads that were being sowed felt rushed. The fact that Giancarlo Esposito and Harrison Ford felt like they carried this hodgepodge was wild. It’s sad that this technically was supposed to be Anthony Mackies big breakout to be the lead but was mushed with continuations of other plots that weighed it down. There was some neat camera work, but there were noticeable goofs in the shots, and the editing of various shots was noticeable. It was even rushed, in all honesty. “Told ya I knew it was gonna bomb that bad”, D-Teir.

There seems to be a really bad pattern with most of the marvel series and this one is no exception. Really weak use of plot, did not feel like any of the characters had real development and drawn out rather than filled for the sake of fleshing out said ensembles of talent that joined. Which still in itself had some but was rushed. A catchy song cannot bring back from going D-Tier through the witches road.

Bagels. Raccacoonie. Hotdog Fingers. An A-24 experience. Laundry and Taxes. Spazzing various forms of visual telling. Reference's Galore. Dope Cast. The subtle utilization of pop culture in an indie film is dope. There is a different clashing of ways to tell and interpret. It was a trip that made me wonder how much time was spent alone in the makeup department. I am glad that Ke Huy Quan shined in this movie; now I can say I have seen a…
