The Safdie brothers excel at creating a movie that feels like a 2hr 15 minute long panic attack - in a good way. I felt a strange attachment to characters I disliked, and it had me hooked from start to finish.

A great film provoking thoughts on class division and aiming questions towards the viewer’s morality. Peeling back the layers of what makes us all human, including the uglier sides - gluttony, corruption and arrogance, and the beautiful - family, love and determination. This movie rests at an equilibrium between light and dark until the scales finally tip at the end.
