Mickey 17 2025
I liked the first half of this movie a lot. Great concept. Well executed and even a fun twist! And then it felt like they didn’t know what to do so they decided to turn it into an alien bug movie that no longer had anything to do with the reprinting / double Mickey idea that they spent so much time setting up.
And while I’m knit picking - what was up with the other girl who had a crush on Mickey? It didn’t seem to amount to anything. But I appreciate how insane it all was and that someone let him make this movie.Translated from by -

This is a great concept for a movie that I’m surprised nobody has made before !
It’s emotional, gut wrenching, suspenseful and it’s actually about something ! It’s shining a light on the very real phenomenon of teenage police informants and how often things go awry.
The lead actress and actor were both great and really pulled me into their world.Translated from by

Nope 2022
Nope.
That would be my full review if I was a real jerk. But even though I think this is my least favorite of the JP movies thus far, as it was a little over the top and more of a classic movie movie with less of the interesting meat that made the others stand out so much, I still think this was a well made movie with plenty to still admire. I always like to try and round up when possible. And I’m still in for the next one.
