Mad God 2021
I really liked some of the imagery and the atmosphere - the crazy geometry and apocalyptic, brutal architecture is really fun to look at, and the twisted monsters made of motted flesh and gnarled features make for fitting inhabitants of its nightmarish world.
Unfortunately, most of this falls pretty flat as any driving narrative dies out, making the rest of Mad God a miserable, laborious watch. Without any meaning to the madness, the strong start became a long slog, and for most of the runtime I wondered why I was still watching this. Certainly more of an experience than something to be enjoyed.

Absolutely fantastic all around. This show starts slower, but by the time it really ramps up at the end, you're already all in on Ledo and Chamber, and by god what a duo they are.

The few original characters start off strong, and then pitter…

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
Seriously amazing movie. I loved everything about it; the visual style, the characters, even the fan service (a few select Spider-Men cameos made me lose it). Can't wait for the next one. Seriously, I can't wait. Give it to me NOW.
