I’ll be the person to say this is actually really good. It was a big swing and a home run. Really solid script executed earnestly. It never tried to be something other than what it was. I love that a genre movie like this could get me reflecting on the question of faith in the way I am. It feels like an Edgar Allen Poe tale mixed with Life of Pi. Right up my alley I hope to make something like this one day.
